Ascham is an inclusive, day and boarding school that provides a strong academic program within a warm, welcoming environment.Were looking for an organised, switched-on and tech savvy administrator to join the Ascham team and provide high quality secretarial, administrative and operational support to our Director of Curriculum & Learning, and Heads of Department.This is a permanent full-time position for 48 weeks of the year.What Youll be Doing:Managing all incoming Curriculum correspondence including email inbox management.Preparing email and intranet communications to staff, students and parents.Diary management and the scheduling of meetings and appointments for staff, parents and others.Event and function management including room bookings, invitations, catering and technology.Assisting with school excursions including venue/bus bookings, attendance lists and student billing.Creating and managing online forms and student class lists.Assisting with interview processes for potential new Ascham teachers.Budget management, credit card reconciliation and procurement e.g. textbooks and resources.Creating and editing high quality documents for Senior Executive and School Governance reporting showcasing your sound typing, document formatting, proofing, mail merging and PowerPoint skills.Database and hard/soft file management.Data analysis and graphical presentation.Educational research and project management assistance as required.What Youll Need to Have:Experience in general office procedures including minute taking and email inbox management.An understanding of whats involved when working with senior leadership teams including appropriate levels of discretion, tact and confidentiality.Ability to self-manage, show initiative and continually refine or learn new skills.Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work professionally with parents, students and staff.Experience with records management and the storing, organising and sharing of online information.Advanced Microsoft Office skills and ability to use programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Canva and Canvas.Ability to create and modify online content as required.Experience in using databases and reporting systems.A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.How to Apply:The successful applicant will enjoy a great school culture, stimulating work environment in a team of talented professionals, and attractive remuneration and benefits.
