Integral to the role is overseeing the transformation of the organisations data processing systems, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide quality outcomes.Reporting to the Senior Analyst, key responsibilities include:Managing the data processing, engineering and applications for the business.Optimising data ingestion and pipelines to enhance the accessibility, reliability and quality of data.Critically analyse data systems, applications and methodologies.Design, build and implement mature, sustainable, best practice solutions.Expand the data scope and identify new data sources to support data-driven decision-making and aid in addressing business challenges.Proactively communicate and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the reporting and modelling teams and external operational stakeholders.ABOUT YOU:Ten years + experience as a Senior Data Engineer or Analyst with extensive exposure to systemised, end to end data processes and products.Experience within a heavy infrastructure, transport, mining, supply chain/ logistics, manufacturing or consulting environment.Advanced knowledge of programming languages R or Python, as well as exposure to Azure, SQL, Power BI and Microsoft Fabric highly desirable.Relevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science/ Engineering/ Programming or a related discipline.The ability to build and maintain key stakeholder relationships and link customer needs to solutions.A practical, curious mind with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent communication skills.ON OFFER:A competitive salary package including a performance-related bonus.Flexible hybrid work arrangements.The opportunity to work alongside highly experienced industry experts who are driven to provide exceptional support to their valued customers.Be the subject matter expert of a scope of work, integral to business operations.To apply please send your latest resume and cover letter in Word format to Onten Strategic Recruitment.
