To deliver exceptional service to our customers, we are seeking a variety loving Field Application & Service Engineer to provide product support of Genetic Signatures innovative and simplified molecular diagnostic technologies. The Field Application & Service Engineer partners with customers to provide technical training, troubleshooting, complaint resolution, and implementation of new processes. This position serves as a scientific consultant during pre- and post-sales activities and will collaborate with the broader commercial team to maximize sales growth and customer satisfaction.As our solutions-oriented Field Application & Service Engineer you will:Perform customer training as required with system installation or upgradesProvide ongoing technical support in person or via remote support/phone/email. This will include being on-call after hours as part of a rotating rosterProvide in-house and customer laboratory support including:Addressing results analysis and kit queriesSoftware repair/changesHardware repairsModify customer programs as requiredTest new equipment/softwareDocument activities as per QMS requirementsLiaise with OEM technical support if failures cannot be immediately rectifiedDevelop customer relationshipsProactively manage and provide service & support to customersRespond quickly to customer concerns or issues regarding equipment or kitsTravel, with some periodically overnight, to support customersMonitor and report on new product requirements, opportunities, and competitive activitiesProvide support for the domestic and international sales effort as requiredRelay customer feedback to relevant staff to provide input for product developmentEssential for success as our Field Application & Service Engineer are:A minimum of BSc. in Biomedical Science or Engineering or a related fieldExperience in demonstrating hardware and assaysExperience in laboratory with liquid handlersDemonstrated experience in delivering customer support and trainingProblem solvingAbility to work independentlyIt is advantageous if our Field Application & Service Engineers talent tool kit includes:Experience with liquid handling instruments (Tecan, Hamilton) and PCR instruments (BioRad, ThermoFisher)Writing/amending programs for liquid handling equipmentPresenting technology within a commercial context and understanding scientific issuesExperience in products/services for the worldwide molecular diagnostic marketplaceIf this sounds like your next career opportunity and you want to make a difference to healthcare outcomes for patients around the world, apply now, we cant wait to hear from you!Please apply with a cover letter and CV via Seek.
