Job Description

DESCRIPTIONExternal Fulfillment supports AU Operations in identifying the best ways to fulfill products that Amazon FCs (Fulfillment Centers) cannot currently support. The role includes interfacing with the Third Party Logistics (3PL) providers and being the main POC for all internal teams such as Transportation, Retail and Supply Chain. The main tasks will be management, control and direction for the 3PL operations. The main objective is to continuously improve the level of service that the 3PL provides to our customers.The 3PL Operations Manager will be responsible for both launch and improvement projects within the External Fulfillment Emerging Markets, Inbound and Special solutions team and will contribute to the development of Amazon''s flexible & customer-centric fulfillment.Key job responsibilitiesManage and control performance, cost and capacity of External Fulfillment Logistics provider (3PL)Monitor and analyze customer experience and delivery performance, maintain and develop KPIs and SLAs with 3PLContribute to process improvements and cost optimization initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholdersPrioritize projects and software feature requests, evaluate and set stakeholder expectationsEnsure for each integration that requirements and resources both internal / external are available to deliver successWork closely with technical development teams to deliver features which are customer-focused, scaleable, auditable and iteratively developedPossesses combination of practical and intellectual skills and an ability to shift, and adapt to different tasks that vary between complex analyses and hands-on project and operations managementStrong focus on quantitative data working with large datasets and able to use the appropriate software for this scaleWillingness to travel to 3PL and AU sitesBASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor''s degree or equivalent certification in (Industrial/Mechanical) Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related fieldProficient in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and MS ProjectStrong data analysis skills - Ability to produce, interpret and draw conclusions from dataExcellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levelsTheoretical and practical knowledge of Lean techniques such as Kaizen or Six SigmaTechnical expertise - Solution-driven approach to systems & processesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSProven operations leadership experience in a similar fast-paced process driven manufacturing, production or distribution/logistics environmentSound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this positionPast experience or study of startup operations and/or 3PL environmentsTeam player who can facilitate successful project work, operating to deadlinesExperience with analytical tools such as data warehouse tables: SQL / Visual Basic / Power BIMasters degree in (Industrial/Mechanical) Engineering, Operations, Business Administration #J-18808-Ljbffr
