We strive to ensure our clients live better days, every day.About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity in our growing organisation for a Residential Services Lead - Team Leader. We are looking for an exceptional individual with a strong ability to lead a diverse team and develop the service within a supported independent living home (SIL). In this role you will work alongside Disability Support Workers to directly support participants with activities of daily living, domestic tasks, goal development, empowerment and active support. This role will cover 2 sites at Croydon and Waverley, and is a permanent Full Time position.The successful applicant must possess empathy, enthusiasm and self-motivation to enrich the lives of the people we support in a nurturing environment along with the below listed skills and experience.Skills and experience required to be successful in this roleMinimum 2 years experience leading a team in SIL servicesBe available to be rostered for flexible hours/shifts, plus weekend rosters.Tertiary, graduate or post graduate qualification in relevant field (Community/Disability)Have highly developed oral and written communication skillsHave advanced computer skills (MS Office, iPads and other systems (e.g. Carelink)Current drivers license and access to a reliable, registered, and insured vehicleAdminister medication formal training - HLTAAP001 Recognise Healthy Body Systems and HLTHPS006 Assist Clients with Medication.National Police Check (issued less than 3 months ago) or willingness to obtainFirst Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)Highly developed emotional intelligenceProficient in AuslanSolid leadership capability with experience leading a team of support workersExperience in aged care, special education and health background will also be well regardedA relevant qualification in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support, Allied Health, Mental Health or working towards it.Experience using Carelink+ or a similar client management tool.Practical experience using Auslan will be highly regarded.What we offer:Opportunity to work for a growing organisation that demonstrates industry leadership.Warm and genuinely supportive team environmentTraining and professional development opportunities to grow your career.Warm, caring and genuinely supportive team environment including a 24/7 Employee Assistance Program.Attractive Salary packaging benefitsIf this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.How to applyPlease click on the APPLY NOW button and complete the online application form.
