Course and Fieldwork Coordinator (Community Services)We are looking for a Course and Fieldwork Coordinator (Community Services) to join our growing academic team at our Melbourne campus. The Course and Fieldwork Coordinator (Community Services) is a state-based role, responsible for leading and managing the course delivery and academic work placement experiences for Community Services in Higher Education and VET in each state, ensuring students receive high-quality, real-world learning experiences, especially through fieldwork placements. Additionally, this role includes a teaching component of at least 2 subjects per term.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and coordinate the delivery of courses, identify work placement opportunities for our students and ensure that placements meet the requirements of the course and accrediting and legislative standards.Ensure coordinated delivery of courses at the campus level, undertaking subject coordination and academic support to sessional teaching staff.Ensure the quality, currency, and timely availability of learning and assessment materials for students and staff via the Learning Management System.Manage and report on student support activities and academic integrity matters related to fieldwork placements.Ensure that the quality, conduct, and integration of fieldwork placement within the discipline of Community Services supports the overarching goal of preparing ethical, and competent community service practitioners.Deliver teaching, assessment and student consultation for relevant subjects as required (a minimum of 2 subjects per term).Collaborate with the Work Placement team, and ALGs and Ikons industry partners to foster and manage stakeholder relationships, to coordinate student fieldwork placements in government and non-government agencies and ensure the fieldwork placement program operates effectively.Act as the primary academic contact for fieldwork placements in the CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services and Bachelor of Community Services in each state.As the subject matter expert, contribute to the development, oversight, and supervision of fieldwork subjects in the programs.Undertake assessment responsibilities and ensure that placement tasks and supervision arrangements meet the professional accreditation standards for community services.Oversee the work of Academic Liaison Visitors (HE) and workplace assessors (VET) who visit students at their fieldwork placement.Contribute to best practices in teaching, fieldwork placement and assessment and enhance Ikon and ALGs reputation as a quality provider in community services education.Actively develop and foster a positive and supportive culture across all aspects of Community Services course delivery programs at the campus level.About UsEDU is an ASX-listed provider of tertiary education, specialising in Health and Community Services.
