We know a diverse workforce and inclusive workplace drives our success.About the RoleSenior Lawyers lead the provision of legal services to the NDIS Commission across the full range of its activities. The Compliance and Enforcement Team and Legislation and Regulatory Framework Team are currently recruiting. Work conducted by these teams will include:Advising on the application of legislation administered by the Commission, and problem-solving and supporting the making of robust administrative decisions made under the legislative framework;Advising on compliance and enforcement matters;Working closely with the Commissioner and regulatory areas to continuously improve the regulatory framework, including advising on and supporting end-to-end changes to the Commissions legislative framework;Providing legal advice and supporting the development of New Policy Proposals and Drafting Instructions relevant to legislative amendments.Duties of the RoleDuties may include, but are not limited to, the following:Delivering and leading the delivery of legal and related services to the Commission;Supervising, mentoring, and developing junior staff;Capability of Our Ideal CandidateThe role would suit critical and creative thinkers with a passion for the law, especially human rights law, regulatory law, commercial law, employment & workplace relations law, information law, administrative law, and legal policy & legislation development.
