Apply now Job no: 579201Work type: Full timeLocation: Wollongong Private HospitalCategories: OtherWollongong Private Hospital, WollongongFull Time RoleThe OpportunityAn opportunity has become available for an Assistant Accountant to join the Wollongong Private Hospital Finance team, providing accounting support to the hospital.This role supports the Director of Finances in the finance function across Wollongong Private Hospital.Key accountabilities of the role include:Assistance with month end accounting including revenue and expense accrualsStatutory reportingAnalysis of resultsBilling and management of debtorsApproval of invoicesSkills and ExperienceThis position is suited to a CPA/CA Accountant who is self-motivated, possesses strong technical accounting knowledge, has high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, and can manage their workload to meet key deadlines. Additionally, you should possess a strong customer focus and demonstrate the ability to communicate well with stakeholders at various levels of the organisation.To be successful in this role, you will also have the following criteria:Qualifications in Financial or Management Accounting disciplinesStrong knowledge of Financial Reporting processes and understanding of general ledger accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable and inventory controlStrong analytical and logical problem-solving skillsAbility to set standards, targets and objectives, and then coordinate work plans to ensure success in meeting themDemonstrated experience using Microsoft products, and advanced skills in ExcelProven ability to work independently whilst also contributing to a team and working towards independent, team and organisational objectivesPrevious experience in the health care sectorExposure to SAP system softwareWhats in it for you?Professional Advancement: Recognition, Rewards, Professional Development, and Employee referral programs.
