If you want to help shape the future of Frankston, now is the time to join our team!About The RoleAn exciting full-time opportunity exists within our Operations Department for a Senior Parks Maintenance Officer.Your Main Responsibilities Of The Role IncludeEnsure all horticulture and park maintenance works undertaken within the team are completed to achieve a high standard of presentation.Assist the Team Leader to plan and implement horticulture, renewal and renovation works within open space parks in accordance with works programs, management plans and industry standards.Carry out necessary horticultural works in accordance with works programs, management plans and industry standards.Support the Team Leader with tasks such as on-the-job training of new employees, resource allocation, and contractor supervision for operational and capital works project delivery.About YouThe following qualifications and/or experience are required for the position:Certificate III or above qualification in Horticulture, or related discipline.Experience maintaining and enhancing open space parks.Ability to use a variety of horticulture tools, plant and equipment.A current Victorian Driver''s Licence.A strong understanding of safe work practices.Benefits Of Working At Frankston City CouncilBe part of a workplace that is looking to transform the way that we work and build on our values Kinder, Fairer, Smarter.
