Brisbane Private Hospital also delivers a leading private drug and alcohol program, Damascus Health Services, from its dedicated drug and alcohol rehabilitation unit.Responsibilities:Ensure staff provide excellent customer service, employ safe work practices and manual handling techniques, as well as identifying and reporting hazards.Possess general knowledge in cleaning duties, Material Safety Data Sheets, their use and importance, Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, and infection control standards.Perform specific cleaning and restocking, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout the hospital.Conduct audits in various areas and provide training to new staff.Ensure waste management procedures are followed and advise the Housekeeping Manager.Communicate with your department manager about roster changes.Ensure labour hours are within budget.Coordinate daily operational activities and preparation of task lists and work schedules for the PM team.Motivate, support, and train the team, providing daily hands-on support.Ensure hospital equipment is well-kept and clean to meet infection control requirements, audited for review, and new parts or replacements ordered when required. Preventative maintenance scheduling and accountability when maintenance is required.Qualifications:Previous supervisory experience within the healthcare or hospitality industry.Knowledge of National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards & Work Health and Safety, Infection Prevention and Control standards, Waste management.Proven experience developing high-performing teams with a service excellence approach.Passionate about building strong relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.Ensures a hands-on approach is maintained by working alongside staff in the team.Why Healthscope?
