Add expected salary to your profile for insightsYou will complete a Certificate III Water Industry Operations qualification over 24 months through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with Zeal Futures and our host employer, Shoalhaven City Council.Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to:Water/Wastewater Construction and TestingCarry out installation and maintenance for Shoalhaven Water assetsRead and interpret drawings and measure componentsMark out jobs, set up machines, prepare materials, tools and fixtures for machiningUse hand & power tools as well as cranes, forklifts and hot works equipmentAssemble, maintain and repair equipment/machinesWork with qualified tradespeople within the Shoalhaven Water industry sitesAssist in general mechanical duties that are within the limits of the skills, competence and ability of an apprenticeWhat you''ll bring to the tableTo be successful in this role, you''ll need to meet the following selection criteria:Completed School Certificate (or equivalent)Good Literacy and Numeracy skillsPhysically capable to complete tasksDemonstrated ability for high safety standardsProven ability to work as part of a teamKeen and enthusiastic about learning new skillsCommitment to completing the traineeshipMandatory RequirementsManual Drivers Licence (P1 or above required)WHS Construction Induction (White Card)Willingness to gain Hepatitis immunisationsWillingness to undertake pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening and functional capacity assessmentAbout Zeal FuturesZeal Futures provides the ultimate training and employment experience.
