In this role, you will serve as the lead underwriter and owner of key programs, responsible for relationship management, portfolio management, underwriting referrals, and audits to drive a profitable book of business. The ideal candidate will bring 5 to 7 years of experience in property and casualty underwriting, including BOP/Commercial Package and Commercial Auto, with experience in professional liability as a plus. Specific experience in social service organizations, daycares, and non-profits is preferred. You will work closely with senior management to evaluate new program opportunities and ensure that existing programs adhere to underwriting guidelines. This is a pivotal role in supporting the continued growth and profitability of our programs business. If you have the expertise and dedication to excel in this position, we encourage you to apply. This position can be located in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Philadelphia, PA, Parsippany, NJ, Atlanta, GA, Dallas, TX, or Chicago, IL.Duties include but are not limited to:Serve as the lead underwriter for designated insurance programs, delivering a profitable book of business.Develop and maintain strong relationships with program partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.Underwrite complex account referrals against company appetite and provide guidance to ensure that risk selections align with company standards.Conduct underwriting audits on existing programs to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines.Monitor program performance and initiate guideline updates as needed to enhance profitability.Engage in evaluations of new program opportunities involving professional liability, collaborating with senior management.Support the growth of the programs business by taking on additional responsibilities as new programs are launched and expanded.Qualifications5 to 7 years of commercial property and casualty underwriting experience, with an emphasis on professional liability. Prior Program business experience is a plus.Direct experience with social services accounts is preferred.Proven ability to manage and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally.Experience in conducting audits of underwriting files and ensuring compliance with established guidelines.Demonstrated commitment to delivering profitability and managing risk effectively.Salary Range$60,000.00-$125,000.00 USDThe annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the U.S. and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and/or training.The successful candidate is expected to work in one of our offices 3 days per week and also be available for travel as required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
