You have a growth mindset, a passion for continuous learning, and a drive to help others learn too.ResponsibilitiesBecome the Subject Matter Expect for your area.Making tough technical decisions putting in balance velocity, serviceability, sustainability.Setting and holding a high bar of software engineering practices design, coding, test.Being a mentor to members across the software engineering organisation.Participate in the teams on-call rotation.Collaborate with product, design, operations, and learning teams to understand requirements and articulate technical decisions and outcomes.Requirements8+ years experience in backend development using Java/Spring Boot orequivalent.Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes).Deep understanding of system software, specially distributed systems.Experience designing and delivering complex systems into production, and supporting them post-production.Empowering and mentoring is important to you and you love teaching your skills and approach to others.When you speak, people listen and trust your expert opinion.
