The tight knit team work closely together to ensure all KPIs and objectives are met in the most professional way possible.The Financial Accountant will oversee and facilitate the preparation of the financial statements for the Australia Zoo Group, Wildlife Warriors, and Wildlife Warriors USA. The Financial Accountant will coordinate the Accounts Department and oversee all roles and responsibilities of team members.To be successful in this position, you will be professional, work collaboratively within a team and work well in a fast paced environment. You will be sensitive to the needs of the members within your team, and be happy to assist other staff wherever possible.Duties Include:Overseeing all financial, accounting, record keeping systems and relevant staff.Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all required financial reports, reviewing and improving systems and report formats.Undertaking and/or supervising all consolidation requirements.Overseeing all purchase, receivables and payroll functions.Manage/Preparation of end of month entries including depreciation and other adjustments.Preparation of BAS, IAS and FBT returns for members of the Group and ensuring lodgement deadlines are met.Monitoring of performance against monthly KPIs and weekly wage reports.Monitoring banking activities daily and ensuring adequate cash flow to meet needs of the Group.Processing online payments and transfers.Improve/Maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard all financial and physical assets of the Group.Working with external accountants on preparation of all financial reports, year-end financial statements and consolidations.Mentoring and assisting to develop team members within the Accounts Department.Assist the Financial Controller in ensuring information requirements of financial institutions are met.Essential Criteria:Hold current Drivers Licence.Full availability, including weekends, public holidays, and school holiday periods.Satisfactory Australian Federal Police Criminal Record Check must be undertaken prior to employment.Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role (Financial Accountant/Management Accountant).CPA or CA qualifications.Demonstrated leadership ability, team management and interpersonal skills.Apply for this job below.Here is a checklist of information you will need to have ready before you start to complete the employment application form:Education historyEmployment historyReferencesAny qualifications you may have eg First AidAny achievements you may like to tell us aboutYour availability (what hours can you work)A resume in .pdf formatAny other info that may support your application #J-18808-Ljbffr
