Technical Account Manager, WWPS - ANZ Public SectorJob ID: 2854616 | Amazon Web Services Australia Pty LtdAs a Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Amazon Web Services, you will be a valued member of the Enterprise Support team leading the success of enterprise support customers in building applications and services on the AWS platform.Key job responsibilitiesTAMs work backwards from customers to define a support strategy, deliver expert advice on AWS services, assist with project launches and assist with operational issues. They are engaged at the account level, providing recommendations and proactive advice through all phases of the cloud adoption life cycle.Every day brings new and exciting challenges on the job while you:Build solutions, provide technical guidance and advocate for customersEnsure AWS environments remain operationally healthy whilst reducing cost and complexityDevelop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challengesUsing technical acumen and customer obsession, drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk managementConsult with a range of partners from developers through to C-suite executivesCollaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account ManagersWith a bias for action, proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWSProvide detailed reviews of service disruptions, metrics, detailed pre-launch planningBeing part of a wider Enterprise Support team youll provide post-sales, consultative expertiseSolve problems across different customers as they migrate workloads to the cloudUplift customer capabilities by running workshops and brown bag sessions.As we continue to expand in Australia, youll have plenty of opportunities to develop your technical, consulting and leadership skills. Youll also have the chance to receive mentorship and gain AWS certifications.A day in the lifeInternally we call this role a Technical Account Manager (TAM). Externally you operate as a Technical Consultant by earning trust with our customers and have a direct impact in helping our customers gain the most value from cloud technology. Youll craft and execute strategies to drive our customers adoption and use of AWS services.Our Technical Account Managers engage rising startups building their business from scratch, through to large enterprises going through significant transformation. Youll provide advice on architecture, support strategy, projects, launch planning as well as stabilisation and operational issues.About the teamAWS values diverse experiences.
