Staying true to our values ensures that we consistently deliver positive outcomes for all South Australians.About the jobAs a Technical Cadet, your main responsibility will be working towards providing technical advisory services for water, wastewater, and recycled water connections, extensions, fire services, and third-party alterations. You will assist in providing surveying, drafting and estimating services for both water, wastewater and recycled infrastructure projects. This role will be a combination of being in the office in the field and on site.Teamwork is essential in this role, as you will need to collaborate with other team members, participate in team briefings, and work towards team objectives. Additionally, you will be required to complete online training sessions, complete study modules and achieve the required qualifications within the specified timeframe. This is a 4-year maximum term position, offering a unique opportunity to kickstart your career at SA Water.Your success in this role will come from:Completion of Year 12 SACEAbility to work autonomously towards a Diploma of Engineering - Technical with TAFE QueenslandHigh level of computer literacyEffective communication skills, both written and verbalPositive attitude, and willingness to work within a team environmentA current drivers licenceExperience with AutoCAD or similar (desirable)White Card (Desirable)Please note that in order to be successful for the Cadetship you will be required to be an Australian Citizen.Who will you work withInternal stakeholders including People & Safety, Work Planning & Scheduling, Reliability & Condition Monitoring, Workshops, Business Development & Growth, Asset Management, Capital Delivery, Engineering, Procurement, Customer Field Services, Production & TreatmentRegional operation and maintenanceRTO lecturers and support employeesAs this is a study while you learn opportunity the first-year salary per annum is $60,552.00 and goes up each year.
