In this role, youll be working as part of our Criminal Justice team, based in a variety of locations around the borough of Southwark.The service supports people with their or their loved ones drug and/or alcohol issues who have been involved with the criminal justice system.No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious, and a good listener are key.Where: Camberwell, SouthwarkHours: 37.5hrs per weekSalary: 27,449.52 - 31,529.41 Pro rata (dependent on experience, pro rata for part-time hours)Allowance: 4,072.06 Inner London WeightingResponsibilitiesResponsibilitiesDeliver psychosocial interventions to reduce disengagement, reduce harm, and associated criminality.Provide screening, assessment, recovery planning, and onward referral.Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm to service users and the wider community.Promote carer, service user, and community involvement.Provide advocacy for access to partnership services.Work with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination.What we are looking for:Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field.Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with good IT skills.Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritizing skills.Good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice.Supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders.Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritizes the needs of service users.Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards.Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden professional knowledge and skills, and contribute to the learning and development of others.What we will offer you:Paid Wellness hour each week along with a Wellness hub and Employee Assist Programme.25 days holiday (+ bank holidays) rising yearly for the first 5 years.Contributory pension scheme.Several benefits including discounts for shopping, cinema, holidays, etc.A friendly and supportive team.Training, career development & progression opportunities.Refer a Friend scheme.Please ensure that when completing your application form and supporting statement, you reflect on the details outlined in the job description.
