OverviewThe Indigenous Trainee (School Based) will participate in business as usual activities as part of their learning and development.Working closely with members of relevant teams, the Indigenous Trainee will gain valuable exposure, learn new skills and understanding of the day-to-day workings of a large organisation while completing their Certificate III in Business. The Indigenous trainee will be supported by the Indigenous Program Coordinator, Mentors and a dedicated Trainer through their traineeship.ResponsibilitiesThe traineeship may be centred around some or all of the following:RTO (Training):Communicating with the Training Coordinators, Compliance and Administration to collate and copy trainer packs and training resourcesExposure to administrative incoming phone calls, transferring calls to the correct personScheduling appointments for trainer profile conversationsCompleting mail outs of resources to the site where training will be completedArchiving of training resources into the correct order.Employment Fund:Helping with voucher distributionChecking MAX Active for Purchase AuthorisationsChecking freadom transactions over $100.Client Service Team:Organising daily mail pick upUpdating and maintaining site contact spreadsheetsAssisting management in organising team events with the use of various computer programsExposure to frontline customer service via phone callsConfirming information for external customers sourced from ESS Web.Support Hub:Scanning documents and uploading to SharePointCreating RA InvoicesCreating the WfD Activity Folders in SharePointEntering Activities in ESSW.Personal AttributesPositive attitudeGood attention to detailKeen to learn new information and work towards a Certificate III in BusinessBe a team player.Key SkillsGood oral and written communication skillsComputer literateAbility to work to deadlinesGood organisational skills.Qualifications/Requirements - MandatoryCurrently at school enrolled in Year 10, 11 or 12 and progressing towards the attainment of a Queensland Certificate of Education or equivalent and/or a vocational qualificationNot currently enrolled or have completed a Certificate IIIEligible to gain entry into a school-based traineeship program in QueenslandHold or have the ability to obtain a current Police Clearance and Working with Children Check.We adhere to the National Principles for Child Safety and require all team members to be committed to child safety and wellbeing.
