One that is equitable and prioritises learning and wellbeing.Together we will make our education system the best it can be.When our children and young people thrive, so do our communities and our state.About The RoleStudent Support Services works with schools and preschools to provide support to assist them in meeting the needs of children and students with additional needs.The Multi-Disciplinary Support Assistant supports the Student Support Services discipline teams in the delivery of services to referred children and students, and their education support staff and families.The Multi-Disciplinary Support Assistant, under the direction and supervision of a psychologist, speech pathologist, educator or social worker, delivers a range of screening and interventions in preschools and schools. Duties pertaining to the role are clearly and specifically directed by the Senior Leadership with clearly demarcated work instructions.Student Support Services are on a cultural response journey, as such we value and prioritise Aboriginal ways of knowing, doing and being.QualificationsEssential: NilDesirable: Certificate in Disability Support/Disability or working towards completion of a degree or equivalent for graduate entry to the speech pathology, psychology, teaching, social work, audiology or occupational therapy professions.Special ConditionsThe successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
