The Y Queensland is a not-for-profit organisation with leading services in childcare, fitness, schools, housing, hospitality, youth recreation and community programs.We are a vibrant, active community organisation, seeking to make a positive difference by providing each and every person with the opportunity to be healthy, happy and connected.Y Schools Queensland Junior Logan Campus are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Wellbeing Case Worker on a Permanent Part-Time basis to support in our School based in Kingston, QLD.About the roleAs a Wellbeing Case Worker at Y Schools Queensland, it is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people and making a difference in their lives. The position involves providing tailored assessments and support services to students, designing programs to address emotional or social challenges, and collaborating with teachers to create personal education plans.What will my time look like?Provision of individualised assessment and support services to individual students and/or their families, aimed at reducing barriers to education and building positive engagement.Facilitation of the delivery of comprehensive individual assessments and support planning for students who come from disadvantaged backgrounds, in accordance with all school policies and procedures.Designing and delivering preventative and early intervention group programs.Assist in the formulation of Personal Education Plans with teaching staff and resourcing staff with strategies that appropriately combat cognitive, sensory and/or social/emotional challenges.Impart up-to-date knowledge, skills and abilities to students accessing casework, enabling them to successfully participate and lead their own support pathways.Am I a good match?Bachelors degree in human services, Social Work or Behavioural Science or a related field, combined with demonstrated recent experience working with vulnerable young people.Ability to work within a team environment to provide individualised support and action plans for young people that enable them to overcome barriers, realise opportunities, and grow in academic and vocational capacity.Sound computer literacy and prior experience using a range of office software including Word, Excel.Current First Aid and CPR certificate.Currently possess, or be willing to obtain a positive notice Blue Card in accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.Achievement of YMCAs Safeguarding Children Training Certificate and complete annual refresher training.Whats in it for you?This role would be a good fit for someone with a background in human services, social work, or a related field, who is keen to work within a supportive, team-based environment.
