The Warrior Woman FoundationThe Warrior Woman Foundation provides holistic evidence-based support programs for under-represented vulnerable young Australian women aged 17- 25+ years who lack the necessary familial or community support to become resilient and independent.We have a particular focus on young women at risk of not completing their final years of high school, young women leaving the out-of- home care system and young women who would simply benefit from some guidance and direction.The Young Warrior Woman ProgramOur flagship program, the Young Warrior Woman Program is a mentoring and psycho-educational program which provides connection, life skills education, and mental health support. Based on the Self Determination Theory, the Young Warrior Woman Program is designed to foster autonomy and financial independence.Together, the Mentors and Mentees attend an intensive and structured six-month program consisting of weekly life skills education workshops and transformative presentations by inspirational speakers who have overcome personal adversity.Role Description ...This is a volunteer mentor role at The Warrior Woman Foundation.
