The Position: The Maintenance Services Assistant is responsible for implementing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating an efficient and effective preventative and corrective maintenance program for buildings, equipment, and grounds at the facility. You will report to the General Manager at Fred French. Key Duties:Assist in the maintenance of an up-to-date asset registerContribute to refurbishment, equipment replacement, and capital works planningIdentify preventative maintenance requirements and document a schedule for the sameEnsure preventative maintenance and corrective action according to legal requirements and documented schedule, including requirements for essential servicesOversee external contract agreementsMaintain records of the maintenance programEnsure adequate stock items for regular corrective maintenance jobsMaintain neat, tidy, and safe grounds, including wateringEnsure high-quality standards in resident rooms and public areas are maintainedEnsure vehicles at the facility are kept clean and tidy and are serviced in accordance with the service maintenance schedulePerform an on-call service at times that maintenance are not on duty at the facility as directed by the General Manager Requirements:Essential:General maintenance and gardening skillsCurrent Driver''s LicenseCurrent National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire)Knowledge or experience in establishing and coordinating a maintenance programExperience in maintenance and horticulture managementAn accredited trade certificate relevant to the positionExperience in residential aged care or similar business To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
