Employment Type: Temporary Full Time until 4 March 2029 with a possibility of extensionPosition Classification: Health Manager Level 5Remuneration: $166,678 - $186,448Hours Per Week: 40Requisition ID: REQ554067Advertising Closes: 4 March 2025Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa).The OpportunityThe Redevelopment Clinical Co-Lead shall partner with the Redevelopment Asset & Facility Co-Lead to provide collaborative leadership for the Port Macquarie Base Hospital (PMBH) Redevelopment Project by providing expert advice on project planning, change management matters, strategies and solutions. They will achieve this through liaising with expert best practice sources within the LHD in partnership with Health Infrastructure and other external Panel Members.About the ProjectPort Macquarie Base Hospital Redevelopment: Enhancing Healthcare for the Community.The $265 million redevelopment of Port Macquarie Base Hospital (PMBH) represents a significant investment in the regions healthcare infrastructure, ensuring the hospital can continue to provide exceptional care to the growing local community and surrounding areas. This project will deliver critical upgrades and expansions that enhance patient care, improve accessibility, and support the dedicated healthcare team in meeting future demand.Key features of the redevelopment include:Expansion of the Emergency Department Increasing capacity to better accommodate the healthcare needs of the local population, ensuring faster and more efficient emergency care.New Maternity Unit and Special Care Nursery Providing state-of-the-art facilities to support mothers, newborns, and families with high-quality, compassionate care.Enhanced Outpatient and Ambulatory Care Spaces Improving accessibility and streamlining services to ensure patients receive timely and coordinated care outside of an inpatient setting.Upgrades to Critical Infrastructure Modernising mechanical and essential building systems to improve operational efficiency, patient comfort, and sustainability.About youDo you have relevant tertiary qualifications in health service planning, management or equivalent experience in healthcare operations and redevelopment projects in a large and complex service environment along with work experience with additional skills, experience, qualifications in design, building projects ideal?Do you have demonstrated experience in clinical operations, change management and operational management within health services?
