We offer competitive compensation and flexible working arrangements with the chance to learn from the best in the business as well as having the opportunity for professional development through learning programs and career advancement.Position Overview:We are looking for a Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst based in Melbourne to help accelerate growth in our portfolio.This role is based in our Kew, Melbourne office, and requires a hybrid pattern of work with regular days working in the office with the broader Omegro and Constellation M&A and Corporate Development teams.Key Responsibilities:Supporting Omegros M&A activities working as part of the APAC M&A teamOrigination: engage with the Corporate Development team to drive opportunities with target companies.Indicative Valuation: building a rapport with targets, requesting data, building high-level valuation models, proposing deal structures and deal value optimisation strategies; and preparing indicative offers.LOI Preparation: building multi-scenario valuation models, including comprehensive business assumptions and key value drivers to optimise business operations. Participating in the preparation of an LOI, business summary; and LOI negotiation.Due Diligence: requesting a comprehensive data room and supporting full DD on all aspects of the business, assisting with project managing a multi-disciplinary DD team (HR, Finance, IT/Data Security, Legal, business); preparation of Investment Memorandums for consideration and approval by investment committee.Perform any other reasonable duties as required.Qualifications and Skills:This is an entry level opportunity for a motivated Finance Graduate with 2+ years relevant industry experience and a strong desire to build a career in M&A. Our ideal candidate will possess:Relevant experience within mergers and acquisitions, company valuation methodologies, project management, acquisition processes, transaction structuring and documentation and due diligence.Prior experience in or exposure to the technology or software sectors.Good commercial judgement with the foresight to see how potential acquisitions will fit within the Portfolio.Excellent in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.Excellent interpersonal skills and a clear and proactive communicator who maintains a steady flow of information and earns the confidence of others.Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to work independently where required.Undergraduate degree with a further qualification such as CPA, ACA, CFA or MBA would be advantageous.Omegro is proudly an Equal Opportunity Employer where everyone is welcome.
