Established in 1997, Country Care Group (CCG) is an Australian family-owned and operated business with over 740 staff throughout a wide variety of operations across Australia. With over 130 CCG member stores, we are a leading national supplier of a vast range of medical and in-home aids to assist people living with disability, mobility impairments, and the aged. CCG manages national contracts for the supply to state and federal government health services schemes, hospitals, aged and residential care facilities.We are currently looking to engage a Corporate Lawyer to fill a 12-month parental leave position to be based at our Head Office in Mildura.The Corporate Lawyer will report to the Chief Performance & Culture Manager and is to provide expert legal advice and support to the Group, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations while supporting business operations. This includes providing generalist legal advice, drafting and reviewing contracts, handling corporate governance issues, promoting a culture of compliance, and mitigating legal risks.Key Responsibilities:Consistently uphold Group values in all interactions with employees, key stakeholders, and customers.Provide legal advice and support to various departments within the Group.Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements.Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with the company''s operations.Assist transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.Liaise with external legal counsel as needed.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all legal documents and correspondence.Ensure proper documentation and filing of contracts, agreements, and other legal materials.Develop and implement risk management procedures.Stay updated on changes in legislation and advise the company accordingly.Qualifications:Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from an accredited institution.Admission to practice law in Victoria, Australia.Minimum of 4-5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in a corporate or commercial law environment.Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, competition law, and regulatory compliance.Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.High level of integrity and professionalism.Australian citizenship or permanent residence.Preferred Skills:Experience in corporate law, contract law, competition law, property law, and mergers and acquisitions.Familiarity with intellectual property, employment law, Therapeutic Goods Administration, National Disability Insurance Scheme.Strong organisational and time management skills.Ability to adapt to changing working conditions and demands.Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years'' experience do you have as a Corporate Lawyer?Have you completed a qualification in law?How many years'' experience do you have in corporate & commercial law?Do you have a current Police Check (National Police Certificate) for employment?What''s your expected annual base salary? #J-18808-Ljbffr
