Reporting to the Import & Customer Service Manager, this role will oversee daily operations of the import and transport teams.We''re always interested in talking to people who are passionate about supply chain and all that it encompasses. Based in our Ravenhall office (with a 3/2 hybrid option available), you will ideally have some exposure to the following:Minimum 3-5 years of experience in air/sea freight, freight forwarding or logistics, with a focus on import operations.Strong understanding of import procedures, Australian regulations, and documentation requirements, ACA/SCA.Experience using CargoWise One.Previous experience in supervising a team.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Self-starter and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and customs brokerage teams.Ability to think laterally and find quick and effective solutions to problems.Your daily activities:Each day can be a little different in a Supply Chain environment. You might find yourself engaging in the following activities:Operational Supervision, Staff Training and Development:Train and oversee the daily operations of the Import, Transport, and OBP teams.Be hands-on and jump in to perform all duties of an Import/Transport team member when required.Support the department manager in staff training, development, and identify areas for improvement.Monitor performance and report in accordance with set metrics and KPIs.Review exception reports and ensure ACA/SCA are completed within KPIs.Review and prioritise jobs requiring immediate payment to shipping lines, co-loaders, and/or other providers.Prioritise billing for outside brokers and company clients.Transport Coordination & Communication:Oversee the management of various transport modes (sea FCL/LCL/BKK, air), ensuring optimal delivery routing and cost efficiency.Coordinate with the transport team to ensure timely pick-up and delivery, addressing any disruptions or delays to prevent storage fees.Analyse and optimise transport cost, service level, and delivery requirements.Review and ensure accurate recording and billing of all transport-related costs.Interested?
