Providing services in the civil and mining sectors and specialising in infrastructure, concrete construction, and mining services, AWCON has been involved in projects of all types and scale throughout Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Mongolia.As we continue to grow, we are excited to expand our team and are currently seeking a Part-time Payroll Officer to support our team in Orange, NSW.ABOUT THE ROLEReporting directly to the CFO, the Payroll Officer will be responsible for assisting with the management of the entire payroll process. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate salary and wage records, ensuring timely payment to all AWCON employees. Specifically, your duties will include:End to end processing of company payrolls.Processing time sheets.Interpretation of EBA''s & Awards in line with current legislation as required.Handle payroll queries (both over the phone & via email).Assisting with superannuation & payroll tax.Assisting with payroll audit requirements.This is a Monday to Wednesday position, working a 24-hour week.ABOUT YOUTo be successful in this role you must possess the following:A great attitude and exceptional attention to detail are essential.Demonstrated experience, ideally in a comparable payroll environment, with knowledge of end-to-end payroll functions.Working knowledge of applying modern awards and relevant legislation.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively when required.Experience with MYOB and intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office programs.Ability and commitment to delivering high quality work within the fortnightly pay deadlines.WHAT WE OFFERWork life balance, working a part-time, Monday to Wednesday role.Great office culture in a new building with on-site underground car parking.Competitive salary - $60,000 - $70,000 (pro rata) based on experience.HOW TO APPLYIf you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity, please submit a cover letter and resume detailing your experience as a payroll officer.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years of payroll experience do you have?Do you have experience using MYOB?Do you have a current Police Check (National Police Certificate) for employment? #J-18808-Ljbffr
