Who we areThe Infrastructure Delivery Section is a key element of A&T and is responsible for the management, maintenance, and engineering development of the built infrastructure at Australias Antarctic and sub-Antarctic stations. The section consists of an expeditioner workforce that carries out construction activities at the Antarctic and sub-Antarctic stations, and an engineering and technical management group at the AADs head office in Kingston, Tasmania. It works closely with Infrastructure Strategy & Planning and Antarctic Infrastructure Operations & Maintenance teams to deliver and maintain all critical life support systems.The JobThe Construction Lead will manage a team delivering major infrastructure works packages. This may be through direct supervision of Construction teams, Coordinators, or working with a construction partner in ensuring the construction program is delivered safely and to the required technical specification. You will be part of a high-performing project team and work closely with the Design & Commercial Leads, with supervision and support from the Project Lead.These projects include whole building structures and essential services such as power generation, water production and supply, wastewater treatment, station heating, accommodation, and medical facilities.
