Hybrid work arrangements are available.With an initial reporting line to the General Manager of Energy and the Pre-Contracts Manager, in this role, you will work closely with design managers/engineers, project delivery resources, and other key stakeholders to understand project scope requirements, assist in the development of concept designs, assist in required go-to-market activities, and then evaluate and prepare detailed competitive cost estimates using our digital tools.The role will include:Market analysis of margins, cash flow development, milestone payment outlines, and risk and contingency.Assisting to build collaborative long-term relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.You will stay informed with current market trends, material costs, and labour rates to ensure estimates are up-to-date and competitive. Youll review and adjust estimates as needed based on changes in project scope, design modifications, or updated information. Presenting detailed cost reports to key internal and external stakeholders, youll highlight key cost factors and potential areas for cost savings while ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.Additionally, youll assist in updating pre-contract processes and procedures and ensure proper handover documentation for project kick-off.About youYou are an Electrical Estimator, or Project Engineer with cost estimation experience, or site-focused Project Manager with experience managing project cash costs looking for an off-site opportunity with experience working with 66kV to 500kV assets.We also welcome individuals who are nearing retirement or have recently retired, offering opportunities for part-time and ad hoc work.You have a proven track record in producing bills of quantity and estimate take-offs, working with suppliers/subcontractors to confirm division of responsibilities and supply, and enabling risk assessment and risk cost processes. You bring experience in using digital estimating software tools and have excellent English written and oral skills that will ensure effective communication and precise documentation.You hold either a Trade Certificate, TAFE diploma, or a relevant bachelors degree.Propel Your Career ForwardWe are proud to be recognised as the 49th fastest-growing company in Australia.
