Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:Date: 24 Jan 2025Location: Railton, TAS, AU, 7305Company: OricaAbout OricaAbout the roleWe are delighted to announce that we are inviting applications for the role of Senior Site Supervisor at our Quarries depot in Railton Tasmania.Operating on a Monday - Friday roster, the Senior Site Supervisor is a critical role in Tasmania, this position involves the safety management of Oricas ANE manufacturing plant, developing close relationships with our clients, along with managing a highly skilled team of Shotfirers, Surveyors, MMU Operators, and Blast Assistants.Attending client meetings, performing incident investigations, and playing a key role in developing safety management plans are just some of the duties the Senior Site Supervisor will perform.This role can either be viewed as a long-term and secure site-based Supervisory role, or an ideal stepping stone into a Territory Managerial career with Orica.What you will be doingLiving and breathing Orica''s safety values at all times.Leading and motivating a highly skilled team of Blast Crew workers.Providing analytical/decision support to area manager on continuous improvement plan.Coordinating logistics of raw materials, equipment, and blast crew to quarries and construction sites in South East Queensland.Ensuring operational process meets Orica standards and customer''s expectations.What you will bring5+ years of proven experience in an operational leadership role.Knowledge of the quarrying or mining industry is preferred but not essential.Decisive: You have the ability and experience in making decisions quickly and soundly.Urgency and Energy: You demonstrate requisite urgency coupled with energy to drive consistent and repeatable performance from your teams.Ownership: You own the responsibility assigned to you as Supervisor and the deliveries of your team.Follow-up: consistency and tenacity: You follow up constantly to ensure tasks are delivered on time and to standard.Respectful: You are respectful in how you deal with all members of the team.Courageous: You have the capability to have courageous decisions when required.What we offerAs part of a truly global company, you will have the ability to grow and learn in a diverse, collaborative culture.
