Add expected salary to your profile for insightsRheinmetall NIOA Munitions Pty Ltd (RNM), a joint venture between Rheinmetall Waffe Munitions and NIOA Pty Ltd, is establishing a state-of-the-art forging and manufacturing facility in Maryborough QLD that will produce artillery shell cases and other munitions-related products for supply to the Australian Defence Force (ADF).What are we looking for?RNM is looking to add a Quality Inspector to the team, who, under general direction from the Quality Manager and in collaboration with operations, will be responsible for providing quality control and technical support to the various processes across the manufacturing line. We aim to build a work team of employees with varying gender, age, race, ethnicity, professional, and cultural backgrounds.Key AccountabilitiesSupport the Quality Manager and the Quality Engineer to establish the full suite of quality processes and documentation to achieve and maintain ISO accreditation.Contribute to uphold RNM Quality Policy and meet the companys quality objectives and strategic plans.Provide and maintain stage Inspection plans and manufacturing work instructions.Ensure configuration control is maintained in operations to achieve delivery compliance.Provide quality support to operations and liaise with other functional areas.Facilitate and coordinate product/process improvement systems and contribute to the development of these systems.Provide QC and Quality System training to operational personnel to meet RNM operations quality support requirements.Undertake internal auditing in accordance with RNMs QMS maintenance requirements.Provide process improvement support and contribute to the implementation and maintenance of continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure raw material & process traceability is maintained across the value chain in accordance with customer and regulatory compliance requirements.Co-ordinate and maintain currency of calibration of inspection equipment in accordance with company processes.Hold or quarantine as necessary, batches or parts that are awaiting or failed successful product inspection criteria as mandated by the contractual requirements or in-process quality control and ensure defective products are prevented from progressing further in the value chain.Perform quality control of products per inspection plan requirements.Produce detailed reports of measurement and inspection results.Ensure adherence to established process and product compliance and initiate necessary steps for containment.Initiate non-conformance reports when required, participate and contribute to corrective action process in collaboration with the Quality Engineer and the Quality Manager and follow up effectiveness.Open and pro-active communication for sharing and handover of information to operational team members.
