You will also coordinate and manage proactive and reactive irrigation programs to ensure efficient water use while protecting the environment.Your Responsibilities:Work as part of the team to develop, maintain, and program all irrigation systemsCoordinate the ordering of irrigation components to ensure systems operate effectively and efficientlyAssist with training and developing the skills of all Resort Presentation staffWork independently with limited supervision, while contributing to the team''s successMaintain tools and equipment according to Workplace Health and Safety proceduresImplement effective communication channels to keep the team informedUndertake the Resort Presentation Managers responsibilities in their absenceAssist with emergency and volunteer work to ensure staff and guest safety and maintain cleanliness on the island as requiredYou Will Have:Certificate 4 in Irrigation Design and/or Installation, or extensive experience in managing large landscape irrigation systems (Essential)Significant experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of all types of irrigation systems, especially pressure-compensated drip systems (Essential)Open drivers license (Essential)White Card (Essential)You Will Also Have:Excellent interpersonal skillsA friendly, enthusiastic attitude and the ability to work as part of a teamAbout UsHamilton Island is the Whitsundays premier island resort, featuring four resort options, over 15 dining establishments, a championship golf course, and a luxury yacht club.
