We pride ourselves on the professionalism with which we pursue our goals and our strong links into our community.The OpportunityReporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, we are seeking skilled Electricians to join the Maintenance department in the breakdown and shutdown teams. The Bengalla Maintenance Team is a multi-disciplined team that is responsible for preventive, corrective and shutdown maintenance on the site''s HME fleet.Working closely with the broader Maintenance team, our Electricians play a pivotal role in maintaining our equipment through routine maintenance, fault finding and diagnostics in both the maintenance workshop and field environments.Using your knowledge and skills, you are enabled to take ownership, prioritise and plan tasks safely, efficiently and cost effectively as well as identify and action improvement opportunities that you see fit.Working either a Dayshift Lifestyle or Full Lifestyle roster 12.5 hour shifts you will be responsible for:Troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing electrical faults in HMEPerforming scheduled shutdown maintenance, statutory testing and electrical installationsEnsuring all work completed is to the highest standard to ensure fleet reliabilityProviding assistance in the development and improvement of maintenance strategiesComplying with Bengallas Health, Safety and Environmental procedures at all timesMentoring and developing our Electrical apprenticesQualifications and ExperienceThe successful candidate will have:Electrical Trade QualificationHigh Voltage Switching accreditation or willingness to complete qualification (HV Electrician)Demonstrated experience with maintenance of heavy mining equipment is essential (Hitachi, Cat, Liebherr and Komatsu)A strong diagnosing and troubleshooting background with proven experienceSound computer skillsExcellent work quality and attention to detailAbility to focus on continuous improvement, working safely and meeting environmental standards.What We OfferBengalla values its people and their contribution to the operation.
