As a public community farm, it is managed by City of Casey and is a place where adults and children can experience hands-on contact with farm animals and native wildlife.We live our values of dreaming big, empowering each other, and making our community proud.A bit about the roleThe Visitor Services Attendant will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of Myuna Farm, delivering exceptional customer service, managing administrative tasks, and assisting in animal care.This casual position, primarily focused on weekend shifts, offers the opportunity to engage with visitors, sharing valuable insights on sustainable farming practices and supporting the farms mission of promoting environmental stewardship and responsible agriculture.What youll deliverProvide a high level of customer service and participate in staff meetings and training sessions.Assist with Myuna Farm general office operations regarding group bookings, telephone enquiries, and point of sale service.Ensure that point of sale service, conducting train/pony rides, and supervising animal interactions are performed in a professional and friendly manner.Support in preparation, setup, and pack up of the venue for group excursions, programs, and/or functions.Perform feeding of farm animals and general farming maintenance and cleaning duties.What youll bringExperience working in a customer service role in a dynamic and complex work environment.Enthusiasm for customer service with a people-oriented mindset.Exceptional communication skills, including written, verbal, and active listening.Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of customers.Experience working with young children and families is valued.Qualification or experience in teaching and working with children is valued.Qualification in animal care or handling or experience working with animals is valued.Present confidently to a wide variety of audiences (public speaking).Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, Functional Assessment (Medical/physio).Whats next?If you think this role might be for you, we would love to hear from you.Please apply by following the links and attaching a cover letter and resume.
