Our Operations unit is responsible for ensuring that the business has the technical capability and capacity to deliver services to all Superloop customers ranging from Home Broadband to International Wholesale.Role PurposeThe Field Services Technician provides on-site technical field services as well as on-site technical support to customers.Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation, termination and testing of copper and fibre optic cabling.Ensuring cable management standards meet the expected quality.Troubleshooting cabling-related faults and determining/actioning the appropriate resolution.Adhering to regulation and compliance guidelines along with completing the appropriate required documentation.Assisting SC Operational Teams with the preparation, configuration and deployment of new and existing hardware.Assisting in on-site troubleshooting to resolve network issues.Assisting with configuration changes provided by the SC Operations Team via Remote Session.Assisting with support/setup for Internet home routers.Assist with the RMA and swap out of faulty hardware.Ability to act as a Contractor and Service Technician Liaison.Ability to work safely from heights.Propose resolution(s) for all faults, ensuring SLA targets are met.Conduct incident and problem management tasks according to protocol.Revision of existing Site Documentation upon Change Requests.Creating and providing documentation and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.Represent Superloop and liaise with customers, suppliers, vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of faults and enquiries.Take ownership, respond and complete allocated tasks/projects/activities to agreed timelines.Participate in the 24x7 on-call roster system (if required).Respond to P1 outages as an escalation point (when required).Adhere to all company and workplace health and safety guidelines.Ability to work without supervision, individually and in a team environment.Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.Qualifications and ExperienceRequirement of ACMA Cabling Registration (Open Registration) with the following competencies:Structured CablingOptic Fibre TerminationsCoaxial CablingMinimum 2 years of experience working in Field Technical role.Time management and the ability to organise resources and meet deadlines.Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate to people in a range of positions.Strong customer service ethic.Hold a valid drivers license and the ability to travel.Work Safely at Heights (RIIWHS204E).Ability to travel internationally with a valid passport.Ability to obtain working with children check and/or Blue Card.Ability to obtain a successful police check suitable with the position of working in areas of Education, Defence, Government, Large Enterprise and Residential settings.Ability to meet WH&S requirements as stipulated by the organisation or our customers - such as vaccinations, white card or other reasonable licenses.Highly Desirable First Aid & CPR.Desirable - TAFE or higher qualifications in Telecommunications, Computer Networking or equivalent combination of education and experience.Desirable - Experience in maintaining FTTP, FTTB and fibre technologies.Desirable - Experience working with WiFi and Ekahau suite to design and survey wireless networks.Desirable - Industry recognised certifications.Key DeliverablesRepresent Superloop with a level of professionalism while undertaking site visits and both internal and external communications.Document network configurations, maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.Ensure that all escalations are acknowledged and dealt with as per OLA timeframes.Incident management, manage outages, communications and events as per SLA.Maintaining networking and operational standards across all internal systems, hardware and documentation.Maintain a reasonable level of responsiveness across all SLC communication mediums.Compliance with regulations relating to copper and fibre optic cabling work such as TCA forms and documentation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
