Location: Spartanburg, South CarolinaPosition Type: Regular Part-Time/HourlyHourly Rate: $10.00 per hourWork Schedule: 5 days per week, Monday through Friday, 1:30pm until 6:00pm.About this opportunity:This position is responsible for:Assisting in facilitating and monitoring recreational activities of the Community Center.Providing guidance and role modeling to members.Driving the van to pick up kids from school and transporting them back to the church.Gathering and preparing materials for activities, leading children in participating in activities, and monitoring childrens safety at all times.What we are looking for in you:High School Diploma or G.E.D. and previous work in a related field with Children and Youth.Valid State Drivers License.Ability to interact with children and teens with patience and respect.Ability to interact with co-workers, volunteers, and the public in a positive, professional manner.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to deal comfortably with stressful situations and follow emergency procedures. Ability to multi-task, follow instructions, and complete tasks in a safe and effective manner. Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing. Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.
