It''s about being part of an organisation that puts people at the heart of all we do and provides opportunities to make a real difference by enhancing every life we touch.Main Purpose of the RoleWe currently have the following opportunity:Seasonal Golf Course Operative (Fixed Term until 31 October 2025) - PKC1235720,076 - 21,157 (28.8 Hours per week)Pullar House / North Inch Golf Course, PerthWe are looking to appoint a seasonal golf course operative to work at North Inch Golf Course, within the Community Greenspace team from mid March until 31 October 2025.The successful candidate will work as part of a small team who look after the day to day operation of the golf course.Duties will include welcoming golfers and collecting green fees as well as taking bookings over the phone, by email and in person. The successful candidate will also assist with the marketing and promotion of the golf course online and good computer skills are important.The role includes at times assisting with certain golf course maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, leaf blowing, litter picking, raking bunkers and replacing divots on the course. This will require a certain level of physical fitness and training will be given.Hours are worked on a rota system which includes regular evening and weekend work.Due to the nature of the post the successful candidate may be expected to work outdoors on a regular basis.This post is fixed term until 31 October 2025.Skills & Experience RequiredYou must have a basic knowledge of golf rules and etiquette along with a keen interest in the sport.A friendly and welcoming personality.Work well as part of a small team.You must have experience of dealing with the public.You must be computer literate with experience of using various IT systems and working with Microsoft Office software (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook).Working at Perth & Kinross CouncilOur values and behaviours influence our work and support us in the delivery of our key priorities.
