In addition to our residential care, Abel Tasman Village also provides Home Care services, delivering tailored support to clients in their personal homes, ensuring they receive the care they need in the comfort of their own environment.About the RoleAbel Tasman Village is seeking applications from people with a passion for working in a home care setting. You will be responsible for providing support, personal care, and social care to our homecare clients. Our Care Workers play an important role in helping clients live the life they want, maintain independence and to improve their Quality of Life in the home. We deliver high-quality services for our clients in their homes across greater Sydney.Key Responsibilities:Taking clients on outings to the shops, the bank, a caf or, out for a walkTaking clients to appointments or respiteFood preparation and assisting in cooking meals.Assisting with exercising, dressing, toileting, and self-administration of medicationDusting, vacuuming, mopping, emptying garbage, washing dishes, laundry, and assisting around the garden.Assisting clients with their personal care such as: showering, personal grooming, moisturising or dressingObserving skin integrity, supervising medication dosage and administration & reporting any changes that are observedRecording notes for each scheduled visitTo join us, youll need:Fluency in speaking EnglishA fabulous caring nature with demonstrated tolerance, patience and empathy with older people.Experience in the Aged Care sector and community/home care is preferred. Many of our clients are from non-English-speaking backgrounds so language/communication skills are important as is your passion to provide care and support to the elderly in a friendly, supportive way.Certificate 3 Aged Care e.g Individual support or similar desired or a willingness to obtain.Current National Crime CheckFlu and COVID vaccinationYou have a valid Drivers Licence and access to an insured, reliable car (min.
