Lecturer in Dentistry (Clinical Education)ApplyLocation: Surry Hills CampusTime Type: Part timePosted on: Posted TodayJob Requisition ID: 0129568Part time (2 days per week), Continuing position for a Lecturer in Sydney Dental SchoolMake a significant contribution to student clinical education at the School of DentistryBase Salary from Level B $122,830 - $145,858 (pro rata) + 17% superannuation and Dental Clinical LoadingAbout the OpportunityA Lecturer (Clinical Education) is expected to make a significant contribution to teaching and learning practice in Sydney Dental School, focusing on coaching and developing students in the provision of best-practice patient care within a clinical setting.Using your advanced knowledge in general dental practice, your key responsibilities will be to:Deliver core clinical learning experiences for undergraduate and postgraduate students engaged in SDS education programs.Supervise dentistry students.Deliver clinical education in dental practice and provide mentorship to students.Lead team-teaching activities with other staff, contributing to calibration of casual and other contracted teaching staff.Engage with professional learning opportunities provided at the faculty and University level.About YouBDS/DMD or equivalent primary qualification.AHPRA-registered as a dental practitioner with general dentist registration in Australia.A relevant graduate degree (desirable).Significant experience working in a clinical setting and proven ability to apply expertise and knowledge to inform pedagogical practice (usually more than three years post an accredited health professional qualification).Experience in supervising or mentoring others and/or coordinating team activities.Demonstrated capacity to stimulate, actively engage, and educate students in the provision of outstanding patient care.A network of relationships with key academic, clinical, and professional institutions, partners, and stakeholders.Experience in teaching and learning in a tertiary environment, as evidenced by student coaching and skills development.Demonstrated success in designing, implementing, and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives with a clinical focus.Work RightsYou must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply.
