In this remote position, youll leverage your expertise in the Australian construction industry to provide accurate and timely estimates for a variety of projects. Using cutting-edge software like Planswift, youll be responsible for analyzing project plans, determining material and labor requirements, and preparing competitive bids. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of projects, from residential to commercial, and contribute directly to the companys growth and success. If youre detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about the construction industry, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to make a significant impact in a dynamic, forward-thinking company.ResponsibilitiesUtilize Planswift software to create precise and comprehensive estimates for plastering and related construction projects.Analyze architectural plans, specifications, and other documentation to accurately determine material quantities and labor requirements.Prepare and submit competitive bids for a variety of construction projects, including plastering, metal framing, suspended ceilings, and feature work.Collaborate closely with the project team to ensure efficient and accurate estimating processes.Stay abreast of industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and market conditions to maintain the companys competitive edge.Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure optimal pricing and availability of materials.Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and methodologies.Participate in project handover meetings to ensure smooth transition from estimation to project execution.RequirementsProven experience as an Estimator.Proficiency in using Planswift estimating software; experience with other construction estimating tools is a plus.Strong analytical and mathematical skills with a keen eye for detail.Ability to read and interpret complex construction plans and specifications.Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Strong communication skills in English; additional language skills (e.g., Malay, Chinese) are highly valued but not required.Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field preferred.Comfortable working remotely and managing time effectively in a flexible work environment.Willingness to commit to a long-term engagement (1-3 years or more) with potential for growth within the company.Please note that since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an Independent Contractor arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection.
