Our commitment to strong governance, accountability, and service excellence underpins everything we do.About The RoleAs Senior Investigator, you will work within the QLeave''s Contract Cleaning Industry Surveillance team and will be undertaking surveillance and compliance activities to ensure employers are registered and levy payments are made as required by the Contract Cleaning Industry (Portable Long Service Leave) Act 2005. Reporting to the Manager Contract Cleaning Industry Surveillance, your focus will include:Investigation of alleged breachesConduct surveillance and compliance activitiesPreparation of breaches for referral to the Enforcement TeamProvide high level advice to stakeholders to support voluntary complianceYour ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:Respond to and investigate alleged breaches of legislation including assisting with planning, information and evidence gathering, surveillance, compliance activities and preparation of matters to refer to the Enforcement Team.As appropriate, exercise powers of an authorised officer under the Contract Cleaning Industry (Portable Long Service Leave) Act 2005. The role may include exercising powers under the Building and Construction Industry (Portable Long Service Leave) Act 1991 and Community Services Industry (Portable Long Service) Act 2020.Undertake high level research and reviews in connection with investigations, including the preparation of reports and associated documentation for Senior and Executive Leadership Teams and General Manager.Provide accurate high-level advice to stakeholders and team members on portable long service leave matters and applicable legislation to support voluntary compliance initiatives, including providing input to stakeholder education and/or collaboration programs.Undertake investigation and enforcement activities according to the team''s priorities, strategies, plans and procedures.Contribute to the continuous improvement, review and implementation of team strategies, plans and procedures.Mentor and provide guidance to other team members in responding to potential legislative breaches to ensure consistent and proportionately responsive compliance in partnership with other internal business units.Develop and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders including other government agencies, industry and the community to promote compliance and stakeholder support for the program.Keep accurate records of facts and findings in relevant paper and information technology systems.What We''re Looking ForWe are seeking a dynamic Senior Investigator with:demonstrated ability in conducting and managing complex investigationsthe ability to enhance capability and capacity of a compliance, surveillance and investigative functionthe ability to implement strategies to build strong and enduring working relationships for joint delivery of outcomesdemonstrated high level verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including compilation of comprehensive reports, along with negotiation skills with particular emphasis on managing the investigation and compliance process and related mattersdemonstrated conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skillsthe skill set to foster a work environment that encourages a skilled, motivated and productive team.Applicants must have a C'' class licence.
