$70,000 $80,000 per year dependent on experienceEverglades Country Club is a well-established hospitality business undergoing significant change to its structure and strategic mind-set. The Club has experienced strong growth and is preparing for further expansion. Our food business, which includes Nine Restaurant and Bar, Vibes Alfresco, Everglades Events, and the Halfway House, is important to our ongoing success.This role requires an individual with effective people management skills (kitchen brigade of 8), able to achieve KPIs, strong food and labour cost control experience, and up-to-date knowledge of current food trends. You must have initiative and quickly deal with kitchen challenges that result in positive outcomes for staff and customers.The ideal person will have worked in and managed busy kitchens, so needs to be well organized and able to take control of the daily operations. You pride yourself on delivering consistent, high-quality food. You will be mentored by our Executive Chef and well supported by a talented kitchen team who take pride in the food they produce.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesManage the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef.Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure high-quality menu offerings.Train and develop the kitchen team to deliver consistent, high-quality menu items.Assist with menu planning.Ensure targeted food and kitchen labour costs are achieved.Run the pass during busy service times to ensure menu items are produced and served timely and accurately.Manage and maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen, adhering to food safety standards.Work cooperatively with front and back of house to ensure cohesive food production and service is delivered at all times.Qualifications, Skills, and ExperienceAt least 3 years experience in a high-volume environment.Previous experience in a similar role.Exceptional leadership and team management skills.Creativity and passion for food.Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Excellent multitasker.What We OfferDaily meal allowance.Venue discounts to share with family and friends.Discounted gym membership.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years'' experience do you have as a sous chef?How many years of people management experience do you have? #J-18808-Ljbffr
