From $34.54 per hour plus statutory superannuationJob summary:Council is looking for a team-oriented and motivated person to join the Building and Property team. In this role, you will be carrying out building and asset maintenance services to Council-owned buildings, associated structures, and furniture in a manner that complies with all legislative and regulatory requirements.Responsibilities:Undertaking reactive, cyclic, and planned maintenance, including carpentry, painting, equipment maintenance, and incidental works such as concreting, steel fabrication, and minor building maintenance.Administer a register of daily records and contribute to their update, ensuring timely reporting and maintenance administration.Coordinate works as directed by the Team Leader Building and Property and through Council''s Asset Management System to ensure completion of works in a timely manner.Maintain established and acceptable standards in all duties performed, ensuring efficient and expected standards of work in all areas.Notify the Team Leader Building and Property of non-compliant or sub-standard building structures and submit recommendations for repairs to minimize dangerous conditions in Council''s properties through effective and practical surveillance programs.Assist in the planning, organization, and implementation of the construction, renovation, and maintenance of Council buildings, including the provision of trade requirements related to your field.Maintain other property areas including, but not limited to: shelters, paved areas, swimming pools, park furniture, and playgrounds.Qualifications:A recognized relevant trade certificate (highly regarded).White card, Safe working from heights, Elevated Work Platform, and Scaffold Erecting Certificates Desirable.Applications marked as Confidential will be received until 5pm on the 14th March 2025 and can either be emailed to recruitment@buloke.vic.gov.au or emailed to: #J-18808-Ljbffr
