Add expected salary to your profile for insightsLocal Motor Group (LMG) is leader in the Tasmanian Automotive industry, operating across the State and employing over 550 staff.Our vehicle sales and service departments are well supported by a competitive, centralised parts and accessory department which supplies the general community and those retail and trade customers within our network with a large range of genuine and substitute automotive parts and accessories at competitive, affordable prices supported by quality customer service.To support our business with correctly storing and dispatching a large range of genuine and substitute replacement parts to our retail and trade customers, the general community and between our dealership network we are seeking to employ a Parts Storeperson.ABOUT THE ROLE:Operating in a very busy state-wide automotive parts operation, this is a Monday to Friday position based at our Campbell St site.KEY TASKS:General warehousing stock control functions, including receipting incoming goods, checking for damage and reporting discrepancies between goods received and invoicesEfficiently unload/unpack stock, appropriately sort, store and label goodsAccurately locate/identify correct automotive parts, fill orders quickly and ensure all materials are in correct condition before dispatchingCorrectly and efficiently collect, pack, dispatch/deliver stock to siteAccurately enter and update customer and supplier information into our Dealer Management System as neededMaintain a clean, tidy and well-organised work area and warehouseParticipate in stock take functions as requiredABOUT YOU:Strong warehousing, inventory control and customer service skillsGood administration & computing skills, including a high attention to detail and data accuracy and integrityReliable, honest and able to work well independently and unsupervisedDemonstrated ability to follow strict WH&S policies and proceduresHave a current Tasmanian Driver''s Licence (essential)Forklift Licence (preferred)This is an exciting opportunity for the right applicant.Whilst automotive parts warehousing and stock control will be viewed favourably, we recruit for attitude as well as aptitude.
