Based in Macquarie Park with hybrid working arrangements, you will play a pivotal role in leading the execution of the EHS strategy for ANZ, maintaining our EHS management system and ensuring regulatory compliance through targeted risk management aligned with our Corporate EHS strategies, initiatives and goals.Are you looking to step up in your health and safety career? We believe its the only way to drive healthcare forward and remain a global leader in medical technology and solutions.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:Develop and implement an EHS management system that ensures regulatory complianceImplement a targeted risk management program that mitigates illness and injury risks, minimizes environmental impactsReport on EHS performance to leaders and ANZ BoardDrive proactive EHS culture within the organisationCollaborate, coach and mentor leaders while driving accountability for EHS performance in ANZMaintain an effective EHS consultation frameworkEnsure effective incident investigation and root cause analysis is conductedStrategic oversight of workers compensation processParticipate in and lead regional and global EHS projectsSupporting commercial sustainability initiativesRequired Knowledge and Experience:Minimum of Bachelors degree is required; a Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Ergonomics, Safety Science or Safety Engineering is highly desirableMinimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or Advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experienceMinimum of 8 -12 years experience Workplace assessment and training qualifications is desirableSound working knowledge of health and safety legislation in Australia and New ZealandSound working knowledge of EEO and anti-discrimination legislation and principlesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCustomer focusedCommercially savvyProven ability to influence without authorityChange managerSome domestic and overseas travel will be requiredSome out of hours work will be requiredPhysical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.Benefits & CompensationMedtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits PackageA commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.
