The Arclight team will work alongside the young persons families, stakeholders, and the community to provide a safe, nurturing, and person-centered plan.The Team Leader will coordinate and lead a team of Youth Officers to develop and implement client action plan strategies and support for young people that are deemed at-risk of disengagement from education and entering the justice system. The Team Leader will ensure the successful day-to-day delivery of the Arclight initiative, provide support to the Youth Officers, and ensure continuous and positive engagement with the stakeholders involved in the program, such as families, Department of Education, WAPOL, Curtin University, and more.Our team will provide a service that recognises young peoples rights, promotes opportunity, and provides stimulating, creative and varied environments which are conducive to promoting individual development and maximising quality of life and independence.The Responsibilities:Lead a team of Youth Officers to deliver effective and safe services of the Arclight Program to six participants between the age of 12-17.Under the guidance of the City of Kwinana Arclight Coordinator and in consultation with Outcares Manager, Diversion and Prevention, lead the operational day to day delivery of The Arclight Initiative, its activities, and other places as required, through youth engagement including: transport to school, 1:1 support in class, life skills workshops, community work support, volunteering, work experience and reward excursions.Develop relationships with key stakeholders including but not limited to families, Department of Education, WA Police Services, City of Kwinana, and others.Steer the planning and performance of the program staff and reporting on their performance against funding contracts and KPI''s.Attendance at Arclight Steering Group meetings where required.Intensive mentoring and role modelling for young people deemed at-risk of disengagement from education and entering the justice system.Planning, designing and delivery of The Arclight Initiative schedule.Support and foster young peoples active involvement in the planning and implementation of programs and activities.Assistance to the coordinator in reporting, monitoring and evaluation.Perform other reasonable duties as requested, in accordance with skills, knowledge and experience.Set high work standards for self and team; demonstrates a high level of care and thoroughness; checks work of self and team to ensure quality service delivery.Maintain documentation, logs, reports and records of client interactions and services provided in appropriate files and database(s).What youll need:Experience in leading engaged, diverse and productive teams to achieve client and organisational goals.Previous experience in working with vulnerable or at-risk young people utilising a trauma informed approach.Demonstrated experience in developing person-centered plans, development, and delivery of the program.Experience in working successfully with people from diverse cultural, linguistic and religious/spiritual backgrounds, low-socio economic and disadvantaged groups, and clients with a history of justice involvement.Demonstrated experience maintaining compliance reporting and writing funding submissions.Demonstrated strong organisational and analytical skills and ability to plan and prioritise workload in order to achieve expected outcomes and meet deadlines.Knowledge of financial and budget management.High-level written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills that can be used to engage a wide range of people, including our clients and their families, internal staff members, government agencies, and other stakeholders.Flexible and receptive to change with an ability to work adaptively in a complex and often stressful remote environment with multiple stakeholders.Other Employment Requirements:Must hold Australian Citizenship or be a permanent resident of Australia.Australian Drivers Licence.National Police Clearance.NDIS Workers Screening Check.Working with Children Check.What will you get in return?Salary packaging of up to $15,899 for general living expenses and an additional $2,650 for entertainment benefits per annum.Great culture and supportive work environment.Access to our Employee Assistance Program.Great culture and supportive working environment.How to apply:To apply for this role, please send through your current resume and cover letter with encouragement to share your story of lived experience and experience of supporting individuals with complex needs.
