This role ensures that all servers, networks, and associated hardware and software operate efficiently and securely to support business operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in both systems administration and network management, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and system optimization.Key Responsibilities:Systems Administration:Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, Linux) and enterprise applications.Manage virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).Perform regular system updates, patching, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.Monitor and troubleshoot server performance, availability, and reliability issues.Network Administration:Design, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks.Manage network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs to ensure secure and efficient connectivity.Monitor network performance, diagnose issues, and implement solutions to optimize network health and uptime.Implement and manage network security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control.Technical Support & Troubleshooting:Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for system and network issues, resolving complex problems promptly.Collaborate with IT support staff to escalate and resolve technical issues efficiently.Maintain clear documentation of troubleshooting processes, configurations, and solutions.Project Management & Development:Lead and participate in IT infrastructure projects, including system migrations, network upgrades, and technology rollouts.Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance IT infrastructure performance and reliability.Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and networks.Experience:Experience in systems administration, network administration, or a combined IT infrastructure role.Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux server environments, networking equipment (Cisco, Juniper), and cloud services (Azure, AWS).Experience with security best practices, network protocols, and system automation tools.Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, and other networking protocols.Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud computing platforms.Scripting and automation experience (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) to streamline processes.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or equivalent are highly desirable.Please apply today for immediate consideration.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionInformation TechnologyIndustriesIT Services and IT Consulting #J-18808-Ljbffr
