Bajool and Port Alma are about 40km south of Rockhampton and 40km north of Gladstone. As an employee, you will have access to benefits such as:Participate in the short-term incentive bonus schemeSalary Continuance InsuranceUnlimited access to LinkedIn LearningEmployee Referral Program refer a mate & receive $1000Employee Assistance ProgramGenerous paid primary carer parental & paternity leave optionsReward & Recognition Program which recognises outstanding achievements of all employeesUniforms providedTool of Trade VehicleThe RoleReporting directly to the Site Manager, your key responsibilities will include:Manage the Bajool production areas to produce solar salt in terms of quality, cost, and volume at budget or better costs.Optimise salt production with Bajool field to ensure that both internal and external demand is satisfied.Manage the Bajool crude stockpile and coordinate the loading of bulk crude.Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees.Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.Oversee and coach employees.Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.Ensure pre-start checks are completed daily/weekly/monthly.Check manufacturing output according to specifications and achieve quality excellence.Submit reports on performance and progress.Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures.Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.Submit and complete HSEQ Management Plan / Incident Reporting.About YouThe successful candidate will be results-driven, possess the ability to communicate with a diverse group of internal stakeholders, work independently, and be motivated by achieving set performance indicators. Strong PC-based computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel are essential) as well as experience in either the salt production, agricultural, or mining industries with a minimum of 5 years will be highly regarded.To be considered for this role, you will have:Proven leadership skills in Manufacturing / Production/Irrigated farming.Proven experience as Manufacturing / Production Supervisor or similar role.Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.Trade qualifications in Environmental/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering /Science is desirable.Excavator / Frontend Loader / Haul Truck competency desirable.Advanced skills in MS Office.Organizational and leadership abilities.Communication and interpersonal skills.Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.Problem-solving skills.Previous supervisory experience (minimum 5 years).Excellent coaching and communication skills.Ability to track expenses and compile budget reports.Broad knowledge of production planning processes.Strategic planning skills.Comfortable working in a food manufacturing environment.Understanding of machine controls and instrumentation.Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting.How to ApplyIf this sounds like you, please click ''apply button'' and provide both your resume and cover letter.
