Division: Independent Public School - Wheatbelt Education RegionSalary: Teacher, $85,610 - $124,046 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2023)This is a 9 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 2, 2025 with possible extension and/or permanencyAt Boddington District High School (DHS) we hold high expectations of the children and young people in our care as well as of ourselves and our colleagues. Through performance management, the successful applicant should use student performance data, particularly in literacy and numeracy, to show a years worth of progress from a years worth of teaching, for every child.The successful applicant will ideally support major school directions and be committed to whole school approaches and initiatives. The learning environment they create will be engaging, challenging, and caring, and cater for the range of needs which will see all students make progress. You should use effective behaviour management strategies to establish and maintain an organised, orderly and learning-focused classroom.The successful applicant should display knowledge and understanding of the effective use of explicit teaching strategies and be dedicated and committed to improving student learning through continual teacher improvement and accountability. Teachers who have experience in implementing High Impact teaching strategies including daily reviews, engagement norms, checking for understanding and explicit instruction are encouraged to apply.
