As a Chemical Attendant at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you''ll work closely with the Laboratory team, Process Improvement Engineer and Evaporator Operator to monitor, troubleshoot and adjust the chemical dosing systems used onsite.This position will be based in North Queensland''s Burdekin region, known for its stunning landscapes, rich agricultural heritage, and a vibrant community. The Burdekin region offers a fantastic lifestyle with a warm climate, beautiful beaches and a range of recreational activities, making it a great place to live and work.This permanent, year-round position involves day work and may require some weekend work and overtime.Your Role in ActionChemical Caretaker: Perform chemical stocktakes and safely move chemicals around the mill.Data Detective: Assist operators in regular sampling of mill products for laboratory analysis.Clean-Up Crew: Assist with chemical cleaning and other cleaning as directed.Conquer the Mill Maze: Carry out general surveillance of factory areas. Provide clear, regular and accurate feedback to mill management on factory issues.Safety Star: Lead by example in health & safety, ensuring every task is done with care and caution.Your Winning CombinationOur ideal candidate is responsible, able to work independently and has excellent attention to detail.
